16 ounce package dried apricots, cut in half
1/2 cup dried cranberries
2 large apples, peeled and cut in large dice
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons of Calvados (apple brandy), optional
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
pinch of salt
Place all of the ingredients into a large saucepan and simmer until the apples are tender, about 30 minutes. That’s all there is to it!!
Serve with vanilla yogurt.
This is even better if made the night before and the flavors have a chance to meld.
